Friday 4 February

Not much to report on for our last day on the river. A super breakfast of waffles and fruit. The food on the cruise has been outstanding.

We left Mannum and continued on down the river towards Murray Bridge. At our mid morning stop at Woodland, our coach awaited, once again. Our trusty driver, Gordon, took us to Mypolonga, a small settlement in the heart of the fruit growing industry. We visited Aussie Apricots where we learned about their diverse businesses and prospective endeavours. Wow! What an inspiration this family is. Grass doesn't grow and all that!!! This couple, walking in father's and grandfather's footsteps have so much love for what they do it's incredible. As for their products, yummo! We all got a little sample bag. Their presentation was so amazing we all bought more!

After a quick visit to Reedy Creek Reserve it was back to the boat for the final leg back to Murray Bridge. Our coach awaited for the last time and we headed for our overnight accommodation in Adelaide. Car hire pick up tomorrow and off to KI. Next adventure coming up.

Just a few last images of our last day on the river. It's been wonderful. Can highly recommend.

Willows were planted more than a century ago to indicate to river captains where the main channel was. Now they are home to many nests

Reedy Creek. Because of our visit to Aussie Apricots we did not do the walk. Our coach just took us to this lookout where people come after heavy rain to see the "falls"

Many old, abandoned grazier cottages

A disused railway bridge with a reputation of a runaway train
